137 yards. A wedge. You could almost throw it. And every yard of it goes out over the lip of a waterfall, across a gorge, to a green sitting on a shelf at the top of the cliff on the far side. The only way round is the narrow road that winds up the right hand wall, and the only thing under your ball for the whole of its flight is falling water and the boiling plunge pool that gives the hole its name. What ruins people here is not the distance, it is the instinct to help the ball into the air. You feel the carry, you hang back, you scoop, and that is exactly what produces the fat one that never gets there. The loft is already in the club. Stay forward, hit down on it, and let it climb on its own.
