Tournaments and societies

30-day free trial. No card needed to start.

The leaderboard that also keeps your handicap.

Plenty of apps run a tournament. Only a handicap app can make the round you played in it count toward your official WHS handicap, with no extra step. That is the difference.

For organisers

Set up an event in about a minute, players join from a link, and scoring is live as you go. No spreadsheets and no collecting cards at the end.

For players

Your tournament round counts toward your WHS handicap automatically. No double-entry, no wondering whether Saturday's round ever got logged.

For the group

A net leaderboard built on real handicaps, not pub-bet estimates, so a mixed-ability field has a fair and genuinely competitive day.

The live board, in your pocket.

Points, positions and who is still out on the course, updating in real time as every player scores. The whole group follows the same leaderboard from the first tee to the prize-giving, and every round counts toward each player's handicap.

Everything you need to run the day.

Counts toward your WHS handicap

The headline difference. A qualifying tournament round updates each player's WHS handicap record automatically. No double entry, no forgetting to log Saturday's round.

Live scoring

Every player updates as they go and the leaderboard moves in real time. Watch positions change while the round is still out on the course.

Net or gross

Score on real handicaps, not pub-bet estimates. Net standings use each player's actual playing handicap, so a mixed-ability field competes fairly.

Handicap allowances built in

Apply the right competition allowance and the playing handicaps are worked out for you, the same maths a club would use.

Invite players in seconds

Set up an event, invite your group, and they join and score from their own phones. No spreadsheets and no chasing cards afterwards.

Play any of 24,000+ courses

Run your event at any course in our database, with the correct course rating and slope for the tees each player uses.

Tournament questions

Does my tournament round count toward my WHS handicap?+

Yes, and that is the point. A qualifying round you post inside a Golf Handicapp event updates your handicap record just like any other acceptable score, so there is no separate logging step. This is the thing a normal tournament app cannot do, because it is not a handicap app.

Do all the players need the app?+

Each player scores their own round in the app, so players who are competing need it installed. Setting up is quick and the 30-day free trial means a whole group can get going without paying up front.

What formats does it support?+

Stableford scoring with handicap allowances, net or gross, which covers the great majority of society days, medals and social comps. Net standings are built on each player's real playing handicap.

Can players of different abilities compete fairly?+

Yes. Net scoring uses each player's playing handicap for the tees they are on, so a high and a low handicapper can play the same event and the leaderboard stays fair.

Can juniors and mixed groups play in the same event?+

Yes. Each player competes from their own tees on their own course handicap, so juniors on the forward tees and adults on the back tees share one leaderboard.

How much does it cost?+

Tournaments are part of Golf Handicapp, which runs on a 30-day free trial with no card needed to start, so you can run an event and see the whole thing before deciding.
