150 yards, from a clifftop tee to the flat top of a basalt sea stack standing alone in the North Atlantic. The green fills almost the whole summit, with one bunker cut into its right side and a fringe of wild grass, and then nothing. Everything that misses goes over the edge and down the columns to the surf and the boulders at the bottom. There is no bail out, no chip back on, no second attempt from anywhere sensible. It is only a short iron, which is exactly what makes it cruel, because the shot is easy and the consequence is absolute. Take one more club than the number says, aim at the middle of the green, and do not look down until it has landed.
This hole is not real. Like every hole in the collection it was conjured with AI, a golf daydream rather than a course you can go and play. The thousands of courses in the Golf Handicapp app, however, are very real.
This one is make-believe. The thousands of courses in the app are not.
