Cocken Lodge Golf Course

The land has belonged to the Holmes family since 1972. Keith and Lucy ran a small Caravan Park catering for residential holiday lets and touring caravans. In 1990 we applied for a licence to sell alcohol, converting a Byre into a Clubhouse for the Caravan Park. The driving range then opened in 1991 in partnership with Mr David Aspey. Sadly, David passed away in 2002 following the opening of the golf course in 2001. Gawin and Marie are now managing Cocken Lodge with Shauna and young Gawin being nurtured for the future. Lucy is still involved in the handover to the younger generation and Keith can still be seen on occasions happily cutting grass.
