Cullen a North East Scotland Golf Course was founded in 1870 and designed by Old Tom Morris. The course is centrally situated between Aberdeen & Inverness on the Moray Firth Coast. The course is 4,623 yards long and has a Par of 63. Cullen must lay claim to the most remarkable site for a golf course in Europe. There is not a lot of room within this amazing environment for Cullen's 18 holes, with the course playing it's outward nine close to the cliffs before doing an about-turn with the inward nine playing back at beach level. At 4,623 yards long, it does manage to fit in a 511-yard par-five 15th. A traditional seaside links course incorporating many blind shots Cullen offers great views of the coastline, Cullen Bay and beyond. Its opening hole is a straightforward par four while the second requires a delicate pitch onto a tight green on a plateau at the top of a hill.
