Harewood Downs Golf Club

The course, which lies on the south-facing side of the Misbourne Valley, dates back to 1907 when it was laid out for the recreational use of members of the House of Commons and the legal establishment. As a safe haven from London it proved popular especially with Lord Birkett, the judge who presided over the trial of Sir Oswald Mosley during the Second World War at which time it was a private club. Now a members' club, the portcullis on the club badge testifies to its Parliamentary origin. Over the last 10 years, the course has enjoyed substantial investment and now boasts new USGA specification greens. Harewood Downs, features some of the finest holes in Buckinghamshire and is a challenging test of golf for both low and high handicap golfers. This beautiful course enjoys remarkable views over the tranquil Misbourne valley and rolling Chiltern Hills.
