The West Sussex Golf Club, popularly known as Pulborough, was officially opened in 1931, having been designed by two outstanding golf architects, Guy Campbell, who also designed Princes’ and Killarney and Cecil Hutchison, designer of Gleneagles and Turnberry. (Very recently, Stafford Hotchkin has been attributed to West Sussex too). At Pulborough, these architects are acknowledged to have created one of the most natural and aesthetically pleasing courses in England. Over the years, the course has been described in detail by many well known golfing writers.
