Now approaching 40 years old Winter Hill Golf Club has matured into an interesting and challenging test of golf. This is not a course for simply teeing up and testing modern day equipment - although a number of holes do require long drives to leave any chance of making the green in regulation.The emphasis at Winter Hill is on accuracy rather than length, and the ability to get into position to leave an easy shot to the green is important. Our Greenkeeping team take pride in ensuring the course is in excellent condition all year round. Our greens and fairways are regarded as some of the best in the region. An ongoing programme of investment in course improvement is aimed at making sure the course continues to improve. A location of outstanding natural beauty provides an environment that means golfers not at the peak of their form will have an enjoyable round.
